“I hadn’t done any exercise since having my 2nd child (now almost 3yrs old), & in February this year decided to get a gym contract. I had no idea what I would do once I got to the gym & decided to buy 3 sessions with a personal trainer, just to give me an idea of what exercises I should / can do. After doing one gym visit without my trainer, I went on to purchase a few more sessions, & now 6 months later I have trained with Ricardo every week, twice a week. It’s not just about having someone show me what to do in the gym;
Ricardo’s training is functional & structured in such a way that I could do most of the exercises at home. He has not once pushed me over any limits, yet he has encouraged me to push myself much harder. My strength & fitness levels have improved much more than I anticipated. Six months ago I couldn’t do more than 1 minute on level 2 on the elliptical without feeling (& sounding) like a dying duck. I’m now able to push to 6 minutes & up to level 5.
It was never about looking like I did 10 years ago, but rather about feeling better about myself & comfortable in my skin. Thanks to Ricardo I most certainly do feel better, physically & also emotionally. I am also wearing jeans & dresses I thought were ready to be donated.
Apart from his excellent PHYSICAL training abilities, Riccardo somehow adds a touch of humor to our training sessions … (especially when he elaborates on his incredible love for chocolate!)"
